JE, UGONJWA WA KIFUA KIKUU HUSABABISHWA NA NINI?

Ugonjwa wa kifua kikuu ni kati ya magonjwa matatu yanayotokea sana kwa watu masikini duniani ( Disease of poverty ). Magonjwa mengine katika jamii ya  disease of   poverty  ni malaria na Ukimwi ( AIDS ). Ugonjwa wa kifua kikuu huathiri asilimia 98 ya watu katika nchi zinazoendelea, ukimwi asilimia 95 na malaria asilimia 90. Magonjwa haya matatu husababisha vifo asilimia 10 ya idadi ya watu wote duniani kwa ujumla, ambapo inakisiwa watu wote duniani ni 6.91 bilioni kulingana na kituo cha kuhesabu watu cha Marekani (  US Census Bureau ).
